Japan's version of the Weaponizer Optimus Prime comes with a big transforming matrix and clear blue version of Ratchet's micron R.A. Additionally, some were shipped with a bonus clear blue version of voyager Optimus's micron, Shining O.P., which was originally a toy show exclusive in Japan. The matrix converts and combines with R.A. to form a giant sword, which is the main attraction of this set.
The above picture shows how the sword is intended be transformed. It looks odd since the blade is facing the wrong way when it is held.
The gray middle section however can simply be turned the opposite direction, allowing the sword to be wielded with the blade facing out. It's not designed to do this; when the mid-section is pushed all the way in, it cannot be rotated in that direction. It is held in place by friction however, so you simply need to pull the piece out slightly and it can rotate. Swiveling it tends to loosen it enough to be rotated in the first place.
